The Software Engineer Intern will be involved in software engineering for microelectronics research and testbed development. This person will work with a multi-disciplined team involving software development, RF testing, and system integration. This person will be required to assist the team with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) simulations, signal processing, automated testing, system integration with hardware engineers, developing and refining algorithms, and cyber vulnerability research.
Requirements:
- Junior, Senior, or Graduate Student working towards degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or relevant technical field
- Minimum 3.5 GPA (Please list GPA on resume to be considered)
- Experience or familiarity programming in any of the following languages:
- Python
- C/C++
- JAVA
- US Citizenship with the ability to obtain a security clearance
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
Desired Qualifications:
- Classroom level experience with the following languages or packages:
- Haskell
- Experience with FPGA development using a Hardware Description Language (HDL) in a Vivado environment
- Experience with Linux
- Experience with networking connected devices
- HWIL testbed creation and/or maintenance
- Understanding of cryptographic algorithms and their applications
- Completed coursework related to electronics
- Tools:
- Git repository creation and maintenance
