Job Title: Electrical Engineer (Palm Bay, FL)Job Code: 13624Job Location: Palm Bay, FLJob Description:Determine design approaches and parametersPerform system analysis to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraintsUtilize modeling tools and equipment to establish operating data, conduct experimental tests, and evaluate resultsSelect components and equipment based on analysis of specifications and reliabilityPerform simulations and present design reviews to peer engineersWrite scripts to control synthesis and build toolsFPGA EngineeringParticipate with a team of designers in architecting FPGA design solutions.Full lifecycle development and integration of VHDL into different families of FPGAs: Requirements definition, design concept, code and simulation, synthesis and place-and-route, verification/validation, and system integration.Simulate the FPGA design to verify functionality and performance.Support integration and test of the FPGA on the target hardware platform.Produce design documentation including requirements documents, specifications, interface control documents, and design review material.Prepare and present design reviews at various phases of the design lifecycle.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical & Computer Engineering, Materials Engineering, Materials Science Engineering or related fieldPreferred Skills:Knowledge and/or experience with VHDL, MCM, HFSS, Network, Power, Analog, Antennas, Controls, ENE, RF, Photonics, Modem, EDA, DSP, MATLAB, Communication Systems, FPGA, Aerospace industry or Optical EngineeringKnowledge of Code V and/or Zemax software toolsExcellent communication, technical writing and presentation skillsKnowledge of FRED, Matlab, PythonKnowledge of and/or understanding circuit analysis and operational conceptsFamiliarity with various computing environments (LINUX/Windows)L3Harris Technologies is proud to be an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer.
