Job Description:Electronic circuit designer of digital and analog control systems for power tools. Engineer will be responsible for design and verification of both hardware and firmware for control systems circuitry in various power tool applications with a focus on battery management systems (BMS). No prior BMS experience is required but would be a major benefit.Job functions include development of circuit schematics and PCB layouts including component selection and generation of BOMs and well as firmware architecture and development. Additionally, the engineer will be involved in the creation of production testing documents, creation and execution of verification testing, and other similar formal steps necessary before production.The candidate must have a can-do attitude, be willing to learn new technical skills, and will be able to function in a mixed technical setting – at least some of each software and hardware. An ideal candidate would be comfortable in hands-on situations (e.g., PCB rework, measurement equipment) and be able to approach problems from a theoretical perspective (e.g., simulation and calculations).
