WHAT YOU WILL DO
Flexware is looking for a talented Senior Ignition Developer to join our team. You will have the opportunity to work as a trusted advisor to our clients and will be challenged to come up with innovative and long-lasting MES solutions utilizing the Ignition Platform . You will be responsible for building out Ignition as an MES solution for the multitude of manufacturing clients that Flexware services.
- Design, develop, and architect MES systems which include SCADA and HMI development built around the Ignition platform using SQL, Python, JavaScript, and other languages and technologies.
- Design and develop within multiple technologies, including but not limited to:
- Data historians (OSI PI, Rockwell FactoryTalk Historian, etc.)
- Databases (SQL Server, Oracle, etc.)
- Custom applications (C#, .NET, etc.)
- Develop and configure interfaces with third-party software tools such as OPC servers, PLC’s, and other industrial devices
- Provide detailed documentation to clients on system design and programming
Flexware is looking for an individual that is willing to step in where necessary. We are looking for someone that is not afraid to get their hands dirty and be of service to others.

WHAT YOU MIGHT HAVE DONE BEFORE
Flexdogs are a rare breed of engineers . They come from varied backgrounds, but typically have some of the following traits:
- Received a technical bachelor’s degree such as Computer Science, Computer Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a similar technical concentration
- Have 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment working with SCADA or MES applications with at least three years focused on Ignition development
- Experience working with OPC servers and tag data
- Experience developing in higher-level programming languages such as C#/.NET, SQL, Python, JavaScript, or others
- Experience working with SQL or Oracle databases, writing medium to complex queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers
- Ability to understand PLC logic and programming
