We are seeking a strong PL/SQL Software Engineer to join a dynamic team supporting and maintaining production systems central to the AKC Mission and objectives. You will work closely with team leads, the architect, QA, and product owners to maintain and improve custom production applications. In this role, you should be able to work independently with little supervision to triage and resolve issues related to our Registration and Events customers. You should have excellent organization and problem-solving skills.
You will fit in well if you have hands-on experience in software development and agile methodologies and enjoy learning new programming languages and application frameworks. You would be an integral part of a cross-functional team. You will engage directly with testers and other developers daily.
Minimum Requirements
- Solid PL/SQL experience is required.
- This hybrid position requires onsite in our Raleigh, NC office.
Primary Job Duties
- Working knowledge of Quest SQL Navigator or Toad
- Implement shared components and frameworks using PL/SQL in a Linux/Solaris-based environment
- Develop new batch processes for data migration and transformation
- Excellent technical skills in Oracle PL/SQL, SQL
- Excellent skills with SQL (advanced queries, tuning)
- Perform validation and verification testing
- Collaborate with stakeholders to fix and improve products
Required Skills, Specialized Knowledge, and Competency Requirements
- Working knowledge of Quest SQL Navigator or Toad
- Excellent technical skills in Oracle PL/SQL, SQL
- Excellent skills with SQL (advanced queries, tuning)
- Fundamental understanding of relational databases, object-oriented design, and client-server architecture
- Experience with the following is a plus: JIRA, Confluence
- Bachelors in Computer Science or related field
The salary range for this position is $90,000-$100,000; however, salary offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge, and location.
