Job Title: Maintenance EngineerJob DescriptionWe are looking for a dedicated Maintenance Engineer to inspect equipment and systems for any issues and schedule repairs for faulty equipment. The role involves performing general maintenance of the facility and grounds to ensure everything runs smoothly.ResponsibilitiesMaintain and perform daily preventive maintenance on material handling equipment.Repair or replace defective parts using hands and/or power tools.Maintain battery room and chargers, including charging and changing batteries for material handling equipment.Observe mechanical devices in operation to locate causes of trouble.Dismantle devices to gain access to and remove defective parts using hoists, hands, and/or power tools.Keep equipment rooms in a neat and orderly fashion.Follow through and complete all work orders.Maintain appropriate levels of material handling equipment maintenance supplies.Design, implement, and review daily operator’s checklist procedures.Log and update asset software for all maintenance and repair to ensure tracking.Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local guidelines, including OSHA.Adhere to the mission and cornerstone values and applicable practices of the organization.Maintain peer relationships in the field to share issues and ideas.Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.Essential SkillsWorking knowledge of current trends and developments in the field of maintenance.Ability to follow directions, standard procedures, and respond to instructions.Ability to solve routine problems of limited scope and complexity following established policies and procedures.Must have the ability to read, write, and communicate in English.Ability to work independently and within a team environment.Additional Skills & QualificationsMinimum of 2 years experience in industrial maintenance.480v, electrical schematics, multimeter, AC/DC, VFD, proximity sensors, photo eyes, 24v, voltage.Experience at a meat plant and ready to take the next step and become a lead.Knowledge in food production, GMP, hydraulics, pneumatics, PLC, ladder logic.Why Work Here?Join our team and benefit from a Monday to Friday shift, dental and vision insurance, profit sharing, and opportunities for advancement.
