Role Purpose Statement:
The AI Engineer will play a key role in the development of new technology function within LSG Sky Chefs North America. This role will help drive and champion our AI expertise, helping research, plan, assess, implement and maintain new AI processes, solutions, and deliverables. Critical to this role is the ability to partner with the business and other subject matter experts in order to make critical recommendations for new solutions, data science initiatives, process automation or LLMs.
Main Accountabilities:
- Develop expert knowledge in all areas of our business in order to foster a data partnership with stakeholders, understanding our business needs and opportunities, in order to develop and deploy impactful AI solutions
- Develop expert knowledge in data lineage within our systems, platforms, and integrations
- Collect thorough and complete business requirements from stakeholders and translate these user requirements into a development model and technical specifications for impactful solutions
- Develop and leverage your expertise in current and evolving AI technologies, including machine learning, LLMs, and process automations, in order to assess, implement and advise on AI integration solutions
- Support in the design, development and deployment of scientific data solutions including but not limited to predictive and prescriptive modeling, machine learning and other advanced analytics.
- From a data privacy perspective, this role will understand risk in order to ensure compliance with governing data policies and data security requirements.
- Provide end user training and prepare related materials to ensure adoption, ease of use, and standardization
- Design, create and maintain technical models and diagrams for each AI project
- Create and manage documentation and change control mechanisms for all technical design, implementations and systems maintenance.
- Must be willing and able to work in a hybrid office environment, with 4 days per week in office in the North America headquarters in the Dallas, Texas area.
Competencies
- Statistical, mathematical, logical and technical competencies as evidenced by translation of business requirements to solutions architecting, as well as translation of findings to business impact.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
- Excellent communication, collaboration and stakeholder management skills
- Experience with AWS environment a plus
- Experience with SDLC, agile and scrum methodologies a plus
- Understanding of data privacy governance, regulations, and compliance

Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Advanced Mathematics, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5+ years of experience working with various programming languages required for creation of AI initiatives: Python, R, Julia, Java, C++, Haskell, Prolog, and other platform proficiencies
- Demonstrated excellence in analytical outcomes from data mining, correlation analytics, predictive modeling, machine learning and other methods within the data science remit
- Proficiency with SQL, T-SQL, PL/SQL, SQL Server, SSMS, SSIS, SSAS
- Understanding of data modelling, ETL, data manipulation techniques
