CNC Machining Programmer - Support CNC Milling and Turning Operations by creating CNC Programs and orders tools, supplies and gages. Programs CNC Mills and Lathes by generating, verifying and improving CNC Programs. Orders tools/supplies for most Operations as well as any gages that may be required. Develop workholding and select cutting tools for Milling and Turning programs. Create and compile necessary documents to aid setting up machines. Integrate work with Engineering, Production, Quality, Purchasing, and Scheduling Departments to ensure a smooth flow of quality products through the factory. Work to deadlines. Assists Milling and Turning setup personnel in achieving an efficient process while maintaining quality requirements. Must work in a safe manner and report any safety, machine, or equipment issues. Demonstrates a working knowledge of feeds and speeds and a working knowledge of cutting tools and their application. Reading and interpreting blueprints, planning sheets, sketches. Train, guides and assists other employees as required. Generate or edit part Milling and Turning programs that meet production objectives for optimum cost, quality, speed, throughput, and on-time customer deliveries. 4-6 years related experience or equivalent education/training.
