Vice President of Engineering – Charlotte, North Carolina Office

A full-service engineering and construction firm has an immediate opening for a Vice President and Office Manager in its Charlotte, NC office. Preferred candidate must be registered as a professional engineer in North Carolina, have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering, or a related field, and at least fifteen years of experience in marketing, managing, and designing water resources, transportation, and/or other engineering projects. Candidates must be well-versed with the engineering market in North Carolina and must have strong leadership and communication skills.

Role and Responsibilities:

1. Defining the vision for the office.
2. Determining the personnel and other resources needed.
3. Hiring the best talent.
4. Lead and manage office employees providing guidance and support.
5. Identifying target clients and projects throughout North Carolina.
6. Advancing clients’ relationships and leading proposal preparation.
7. Ensuring that projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
8. Maintaining profitability of the office.
9. Representing the company's best interests.

Compensation:

$135 to 175K based on experience.
