What You’ll Do
You will join our Cloud Infrastructure and Platform Automation (IPA) Team as a skilled DevOps Engineer. Our team focuses on developing tools and integrations for a portfolio of cloud infrastructure services running Cisco’s critical business services. We adopt a 'we build, we support' ethos, dedicating ourselves to crafting innovative solutions and providing continuous support throughout their lifecycle. You will be on-call and follow SRE Incident management and maintain SLOs (Service Level Objectives). You will lead, build, and run fully automated pipelines through our Continuous Integration/ Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) system to deliver operational capabilities and improvements.
- Develop and maintain Kubernetes infrastructure, focusing on scalability, reliability, and efficiency.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to architect and implement CI/CD pipelines using K8s for application deployment and automation.
- Implement standard processes for K8s cluster monitoring, logging, and security.
- Fix and resolve issues related to K8s infrastructure and deployment pipelines.
- Continuously optimize and fine-tune Kubernetes configurations for improved performance.
- Hands-on knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, GitOps, Git, Linux.
- Automate the development, testing, and deployment processes through CI/CD pipelines (Git, Jenkins, SonarQube, Artifactory, Docker containers, OpenShift Kubernetes, Anthos).
- Drive the adoption of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
- Software development lifecycle includes design, development, testing, packaging, and deployment using Golang (Preferred) or Python.
- Stay updated with the latest Kubernetes releases, features, and tools to enhance the overall infrastructure.

Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 5+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role.
- Strong background in Kubernetes development and operations, including leading Kubernetes Platform as code (OpenShift or Anthos).
- Expertise in scripting and automation (e.g., Bash, Python, or Go) for infrastructure and deployment tasks.
- Experience with monitoring/logging tools such as Prometheus/Grafana/ELK stack, and infrastructure as code tools (e.g., GitOps, Terraform, Ansible).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and their services. Kubernetes certification (e.g., CKA or CKAD).
- Strong Golang or Python development skills. Knowledge of networking and storage solutions in a Kubernetes environment.
- Experience or familiarity with AIOps or MLOps practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Communication and collaboration skills with the ability to engage and influence.
