About this Role

As a Senior Software Test Automation Engineer / SDET, you will collaborate with the App Dev department to ensure the release of high-quality software. You will be responsible for creating, executing, and maintaining automated functional and performance tests to validate software quality and drive regression testing across products.

In this role, you will:

  • Conduct automated and manual tests to ensure software quality meets business requirements (15%).
  • Implement and maintain automated test triggering through the continuous integration/continuous delivery tool to ensure quality of delivery for all code deployments (10%).
  • Think "outside the box" during testing to understand various customer scenarios and configurations to maintain customer quality and drive regression testing (5%).
  • Define and drive innovative automation testing strategies and toolsets into development processes to enhance Quality Assurance processes (5%).
  • Participate in test planning and execution, including functional, integration, regression, and performance/load testing (20%).
  • Collaborate with teams to define current and future system/application performance and load requirements (5%).
  • Work with SCRUM teams to create effective test cases and plans in each sprint cycle (10%).
  • Collaborate with Senior QE Analyst(s) to maintain Automation testing best practices (5%).
  • Participate in design and technical discussions (5%).
  • Follow a detailed technical roadmap aligned with the product vision across different business functions (5%).
  • Mentor junior software testers/team members (5%).
  • Ensure on-time delivery of committed tests, test plan creation, execution, and results reporting (5%).


The Ideal Candidate

  • 5+ years of experience in Software Test Automation.
  • Required: TypeScript, Playwright, WDIO, Cypress.
  • Ability to lead and mentor, work independently, develop projects from scratch, Page Object Model, understanding of object principles.
  • Preferred: Experience with design patterns.
  • Supervision/Leadership: Minimal supervision; Not applicable to supervisory responsibility.
  • Communication & Influence: Senior management or executive leadership within the department.
  • Problem Solving & Complexity: Highly complex; Responsible for making moderate to significant improvements of processes and systems.
  • Organizational Impact: Establishes objectives for the overall direction of the department; Decisions have a significant impact on the results of the job sub-function or function.
