Sr. Data Engineer

LHH is looking for a passionate Senior Data Engineer to aid an established and rapidly growing client of ours in the Computer Hardware space. This person will be heavily involved in developing solutions for enterprise data warehousing, reporting and business intelligence initiatives. In this capacity, you will work with the business users, functional teams, and development teams to collect, analyze, and document requirements before designing, coding, testing, and scheduling ETL programs to support the enterprise and reporting data warehouse.

What You Will Do

• Understand technical requirements and develop data models efficient for ETLs.
• Organize, design, and develop ETL workflows from heterogeneous data sources and dashboards for scalable, refreshable analysis and reporting.
• Conduct analysis of changing upstream processes to Data Warehouse & Reporting systems.
• Support analysts with data queries and dashboard creation for business strategy and performance monitoring.
• Write technical documentation (design specifications, data model diagrams, data flow diagrams, Configuration Management, Production Support documents etc.,).
• Adhere to development standards, time tracking, policies and change management process.
• Monitor ETL processes in production, and trouble-shoot production problems as they occur.

What You Will Need

• 3+ years of experience as a data warehouse or ETL developer.
• Experience in a C#/.NET environment
• Firm understanding of database management systems, online analytical processing (OLAP) and ETL (Extract, transform, load) framework.
• Proficient knowledge in MS SQL queries, SSIS.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Power BI, Tableau.
• Must have ability to translate requirements to technical implementation.
• Knowledge of ERP system/functions such as SAP, Syspro, Oracle etc., is preferred.
• Strong verbal communication and team collaboration skills required.
• Analytical mind with a problem-solving aptitude.
• Ability to work both independently and with a team on simultaneous tasks in a fast-paced environment.
