Job Description

This private, comprehensive university has been providing a liberal arts and sciences education for over a century. It offers over 50 undergraduate and graduate programs across multiple colleges and schools. The university is known for its diverse student body, small class sizes, and personalized learning experience. It has received national recognition for academic excellence, with accredited programs in areas like business, education, and social work.

You will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support in the design, deployment, administration, maintenance, backup, and security of the institution's critical systems. These systems encompass data centers, physical and virtual servers, storage infrastructure, Microsoft Active Directory environment, cloud hosting services, and server-based software applications.

Collaborating closely with the Assistant Director, the Director of Technology Infrastructure and Support, and other stakeholders, the Systems Engineer plays a crucial role in evaluating, recommending, and implementing new technologies to drive the development and enhancement of the campus systems.

Required Skills & Experience

• 3+ years of professional experience as a Systems Administrator
• Azure Active Directory, Microsoft 365
• End user support
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university

Desired Skills & Experience

• Experience working in higher education
• Microsoft certifications
• Ability to go onsite every day
