Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is seeking Cyber Software Engineers to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals at our Cincinnati, Ohio location. The NGMS Cincinnati team develops new capabilities for our military, intelligence, and other government customers. We solve complex problems developing cyber hardware and software solutions.

Essential Functions:

  • Team Lead of 4-6 Engineers
  • Draft and lead tasking
  • Manage timelines to ensure development deadlines
  • Lead code reviews
  • Point of Contact for team questions and spinning up new engineers

Kernel Mode (Windows, Linux) programming (C/C++, Assembly)

Reverse Engineering (x86, x64, MIPS, PPC, or ARM) and Vulnerability Analysis

High Level & Web Based Programming (Python, Javascript/Typescript, React, etc.)

Basic Qualifications Sr. Principal Engineer:

  • B.S. degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field and 8 years of relevant work experience OR M.S. degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field and 6 years of relevant work experience OR Ph.D and 4 years of relevant work experience.
  • Technical leadership experience of small (3+) teams of engineers
  • Experience in software development to include any of the following: kernel mode, embedded, command and control, web applications, network applications.
  • Active Top Secret security clearance
  • US Citizenship
  • Familiarity with Assembly Languages (x86, x64, MIPS, PPC, or ARM)
  • Experience in Reverse Engineering / Vulnerability Research
  • Experience with Networking and Network Hardware

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
  • Experience with SDLC (software development life cycle)
  • Experience developing software for multiple operating system environments.
  • Experience with virtual machine technology
  • OS Internals experience
  • Development of lower-level networking protocols such as TCP/IP and UDP
  • Familiarity with git source control tools and automated build system workflows
  • Experience with the Agile methodology

Salary Range: $133,000 - $199,600

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
