JMT, is currently ranked #61 on Engineering News-Record’s list of the Top 500 Design Firms.Essential Functions and ResponsibilitiesPerform project quality reviews of transportation engineering project deliverables including schematic design roll plots, detailed design plans, specifications, construction cost estimates, and reportsQuality reviews will be conducted using client or JMT checking procedures, including Bluebeam, to assure deliverables adhere to designated project criteria including constructability and contractual requirementsDevelop and maintain quality documentation in accordance with project’s established Project Management Plan and contract requirementsPerform project quality auditsAssist Project managers with development and review of Project Management Plan, with specific emphasis on Quality ControlAssist Director of Quality Management, Office Managers, and Quality Coordinators in establishing or improving JMT project related quality processes.Nonessential Functions and ResponsibilitiesPerform other related duties as assignedMentorship of less experienced transportation designersRequired SkillsRequired ExperienceBachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field15+ years of industry experience including supervisory, project management, and business developmentExperience with transportation engineering designRegistered Engineer in TexasPreferred ExperienceExperience with hydraulic designExperience with quality reviews of transportation design deliverablesMaster’s degree in EngineeringWorking ConditionsWork is performed within a general office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature but may require occasional standing and walking.
