Job Profile:

1. Associate Director Engineering and Maintenance (Engineering Head) for Formulation Manufacturing facility based at Hyderabad Region.

Qualification & Experience:

1. Master’s degree or bachelor’s degree in engineering. A management course will be preferred.
2. Minimum 15-18 years of relevant industry experience.

Exposure/ Knowledge On:

1. Proven experience of Heading Engineering & Maintenance Function from reputed pharma companies.
2. People manager, with exposure to handle team size of minimum 10-15 people.
3. Experience and knowledge of GxP regulated environment, exposure to USFDA / MHRA.
4. Exposure to work with people from different demographic locations and cultures.

Roles & Responsibilities: (Key accountability areas)

1. Ensure all operations are carried out following laid down safety procedures.
2. Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to ensure equipment reliability and performance.
3. Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and production losses.
4. Coordinate calibration activities for critical equipment to maintain accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
5. Proactive maintenance – to ensure lower downtime and reduce downtime between failures.
6. Improve Utilities efficiencies.
7. Ensure continual improvements in the field of Utility costing, spare parts management, breakdowns, overall maintenance cost.
8. Improvise processes to improve resource utilization.
9. Ensure to execute modification / improvement ‘Projects’ in a cost-effective and timely manner.
10. Establish, monitor and improve engineering procurements, in a compliant way.
11. Optimize all engineering related outsourcing, help in creating a strong sustainable supplier database.
12. Coordinate with various internal and external stakeholders: viz. EHS, SCM, ENG, Production functions.
13. Ensure compliance with all laid down procedures and policies.
14. Prepare Budget for Engineering department (OPEX as well as CAPEX), rationalize the same; ensure to monitor the routine expenditures are within the approved Budget.
15. Derive Objectives for the Engineering department (aligning with organization’s Objectives) and KPIs to monitor each objective.
16. Recruit, train, manage, motivate and develop team to meet present and future needs.
17. Effectively contribute / drive in implementation of Operational Excellence at engineering department.
18. Hands-on experience in PLCs, SCADA, namely EMS, BMS.
19. Ensure to handle Sewage Treatment Plant/Effluent Treatment Plant in a compliant and effective manner.

5. Exposure to work with people from different demographic locations and cultures.
6. Fluency in English (oral and written).
