Title: DevOps Engineer

Location: Pittsburgh, PA (Onsite)

Type: Full Time

Must Have:

10+ Years of experience in DevOps (Jenkins, Docker, OCP/Kubernetes) and strong knowledge of the release process if not completely into Release management.

Job Description

  1. Planning and scheduling software releases, taking into account project timelines, dependencies, and resource availability.
  2. Supporting continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) initiatives and automation efforts to streamline the release process.
  3. Collaborating with development, QA, operations, and other stakeholders to understand release requirements and priorities.
  4. Creating and maintaining release plans, including release scope, milestones, and deliverables.
  5. Facilitating release planning meetings and providing regular updates to stakeholders on release status and progress.
  6. Identifying and managing risks and issues related to releases and implementing mitigation strategies as needed.
  7. Coordinating release activities across multiple teams and ensuring that all necessary tasks are completed on schedule.
  8. Establishing and maintaining release processes, tools, and best practices to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  9. Conducting post-release reviews and gathering feedback to identify areas for improvement.
  10. Coordinating deployment activities, including pre-deployment checks, scheduling, and rollback procedures.
  11. Maintaining release documentation, including release notes, deployment guides, and configuration records.
  12. Identifying opportunities to improve the release management process, tools, and workflows.
  13. Fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration within the release management team and across the organization.
  14. Good experience in DevOps, Jenkins, Docker, and OCP.
  15. Good exposure to CI/CD concepts.
  16. Release management experience.
