Position Summary:
This is an exciting opportunity for software developers who enjoy being involved in a variety of different tasks and who enjoy proactively working with others to facilitate successful application delivery. It involves working closely with developers, database administrators, IT systems personnel, quality assurance, project managers, and others to assess and develop the technical strategy for SaaS application delivery, while ensuring that business needs are met. This position is also involved with creating and maintaining software code associated with release pipeline (including build, configuration, unit testing, integration testing, and deployment), as well as assisting with integrating and automating other SDLC systems. As systems are implemented or modified, this position also assists with creating and updating internal technical systems documentation. This position reports to the Director of Release Management. 0-5 years of experience, including recent college graduates.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Plan and perform builds and deployments.
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD infrastructure. Includes automation of build, testing, and deployment processes; custom development of internal tools and system integrations of tooling used throughout CI/CD, SDLC, and audit processes.
- Perform administrative and audit-related record keeping tasks.
- Assist in creating and maintaining technical documentation.
- Assist in implementing, automating, administering, and evaluating SDLC tools.
- Assess and resolve problems with moderate supervision
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Experience working with Microsoft Windows Server platforms, including IIS and Windows services. Most of the work will be in these environments.
- Some programming or scripting experience with a desire and ability to continue learning and improving these skills. Experience with Python or PowerShell programming is preferred. Familiarity with Terraform, TypeScript, C#, ASP.NET, YAML, and SQL is helpful. Related experience, with an enthusiastic desire to learn needed languages and tools will be considered.
- Understanding of SDLC lifecycle concepts including versioning, source control, issue tracking, automated build systems, and production controls.
- Good understanding of software development concepts, including object-oriented analysis and design.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; this position requires regular collaboration across many teams in the company.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends when required.
- Ability to follow established procedures and processes.
- B.S. degree in computer science or similar experience.
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience implementing, maintaining, and improving CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
- Familiarity with Azure and Azure DevOps implementation and administration.
- Experience writing basic SQL queries and working with database systems such as Oracle, Snowflake, or SQL Server.
- Familiarity with static application security testing (SAST) tools used in CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with authoring content in wiki tools, such as Confluence, MediaWiki, etc.
- Familiarity with Windows Server administration and configuration.
- Familiarity with IT infrastructure (networking, load balancers, firewalls, etc.)
- Familiarity with configuring, deploying, and maintaining systems on Azure and/or AWS.
- Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with Linux.
