Job Position: Hadoop MapR Sr. Developer/ Technical Architect

Job Location: Groton, Connecticut

Job Description:

Role: Hadoop MapR Sr. Developer/ Technical Architect

Work Location: Groton, Connecticut

Mandatory Technical Skills:

1. Hands-on experience with distributed application architecture and implementation using MapR or other Hadoop Distribution
2. Hands-on experience with Hadoop Ecosystem particularly Spark, Drill, Impala, Python, R
3. Exposure to Teradata or any other DWH
4. Hands-on experience using Linux and scripting
5. Performance tuning
6. Hands-on Architect who can understand the use cases, design and develop PoC
7. Ability to work with offshore team as needed
8. Handling different file formats in Hadoop Ecosystem
9. Preferably data management background and experience

Desirable Technical Skills:

1. Exposure to analytics and data science tools
2. Experience with Ansible Scripting, Storm, Zeppelin, Impala

Mandatory Functional Skills:

1. Exposure to life sciences and Pharma domain
2. Experience of working in Pharma domain using any Hadoop Distribution
