The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Full-Stack Software Engineer (Associate/Mid-Level) to work in either Mountain View, CA or Chantilly, VA locations (San Francisco or Washington, DC regions). We're seeking a highly talented, motivated, and creative software developer to engineer new solutions and support existing capabilities of an agile software program for the national intelligence community. Our teams are hiring for a broad range of experience levels including associate and mid-level software engineers.

Position Responsibilities:

1. Analyzing high level customer requirements and deriving lower level functional requirements.
2. Software development tasks including detailed software design, coding, and testing of customer desired features/user stories.
3. Briefing software designs and demonstrating software release functionality to users.
4. Develop and sustain new and existing applications; as well as troubleshoot and resolve various software issues.
5. Contribute to the creation of new distributed components and interactions that align with the future system architecture.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. This position requires an active Top-Secret U.S. Security Clearance. (US Citizenship is required) (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active). This position requires a completed Tier 5 Investigation (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) by the federal government within the last 5 years or have been enrolled in a Continuous Evaluation program such that periodic updates are no longer required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

1. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or other technical degree.
2. 1+ years' experience in foundational CS knowledge and object-oriented design and software patterns (or an equivalent combination of technical education (e.g. Master) and experience).
3. Experience with distributed version control systems such as GitHub, IBM Rational Team Concert, etc.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

1. 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience).
2. Solid experience in Java (2+ years).
3. Experience with one or more of the following: HTML 5, CSS 3, JavaScript, Firebug and JS frameworks (REACT, jQuery, jQuery UI, Open Layers, etc.), Spring Framework, Hibernate, RDBMS, MongoDB, XML, SOAP, REST, WSDL/Web Service protocols.
4. Experience using dependency management (Ivy, Maven, Gradle).
5. Experience developing and maintaining SOAP, RMI, REST APIs and interfaces.
6. Experience using cloud-based infrastructure (AWS).
7. Experience using automation server (Jenkins).
8. Experience/knowledge of the GEOINT domain.
9. Familiarity with practices such as test-driven development (TDD), agile software development, continuous integration, and dependency management is preferred.
10. Security Certification such as Security+ or CISSP.

Typical Education & Experience Level 2:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master).

Typical Education & Experience Level 3:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience).

Summary Pay Range:

Associate (Level 2) $90,950 - $123,050 Mid-Level (Level 3) $112,200 - $151,800
