We are searching for an experienced Information Security Engineer at our Anchorage AC 2525 Gambell STE 415 facility.

Alasconnect is currently seeking an outgoing, problem solver who likes to manage projects and provide security solutions for its Information Security Engineer. If you like resolving potential IT security threats, designing technology strategies, and sharing your knowledge with others, this is the position for you. This position creates security tools and processes to protect client electronic information, implements systems, monitors security incidents, and provides appropriate security solutions.
If you have at least three years’ experience in the field, and have good knowledge of information security, assurance practices, systems principles, architecture, and design troubleshooting, we want you to join our team.
This is a full-time, exempt, salaried position, DOE, located in Anchorage, AK, Fairbanks, AK, or remote. Required Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skill & Ability Requirements:
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of information security and assurance practices
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of systems principles, architecture, design, analysis and troubleshooting
- Experience with internal data security controls audit
- Experience with effective risk management practices and principles
- Exceptional follow-through and attention to detail
- Excellent oral and written communications skills
- Excellent project management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and with a group
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Windows computing environments
- Intermediate knowledge of computer system, network functions
Qualifications:
- Three years relevant professional experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field preferred
- Relevant professional certifications preferred
