Software Engineer

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

This position is responsible for maintaining and overhauling an AngularJS application and its associated backend components, crucial for ensuring Esquire accurately and efficiently meets the needs of its clients.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS or ABILITIES:

1. Proficiency with Angular and TypeScript.
2. Ability and experience writing tests in one or more programming languages.
3. Knowledge of common design patterns.
4. Ability to operate in a Linux environment preferred.

JOB DUTIES:

1. Produce well formatted, efficient, and thoroughly tested code.
2. Collaborate with Development team members in code review, design, and planning sessions.
3. Work with product owners and other stakeholders to understand application usage and project/task requirements.
4. Document application features and relevant aspects of code and system design.
5. Proactively identify potential application issues.
6. Work with Development team members to continuously improve the development process.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

1. 2+ years working with Angular and TypeScript. Strongly prefer Angular 13 experience.
2. Recent experience developing applications in a team environment.
3. Recent experience creating or maintaining complex applications.
4. Experience with UI testing tools such as Selenium (BrowserStack preferred), Cypress, or TestComplete preferred.

1. Timely completion of tasks.
2. Acceptable level of code quality.
3. Constructive contributions during code reviews and planning.
