As a Senior Lead Global Network Engineer, you will bring your technical skills to a hospitality company with an award-winning culture. On the Network Engineering team reporting to the Director of Global Network Engineering, you will support projects including designing and implementing secured corporate networks.
What your day-to-day will be like:
- Design company network architecture and detailed user documentation (LAN, WLAN, WAN).
- Design, implement and audit complex configuration changes across a multi-vendor environment.
- Perform advanced network design engineering level functions to support a multi-site enterprise environment.
- Manage small, medium and large-scale complex projects understanding the interaction between wireless, voice, applications, and network throughout an enterprise environment.
How you will collaborate with others:
- Work closely with the different technology teams in Hilton (i.e., Network, Cloud, Security, Applications, etc.) to architect, design, and implement business network requirements for Cloud computing.
- Coordinate with vendors to provide appropriate hardware to meet business requirements.
What deliverables you will take ownership of:
Responsible for all aspects of networking policies and operations, including network programmability (Python, scripting, and RESTful API) and orchestration.

You have these minimum qualifications:
- Seven (7) years of professional work experience in Technology or related field
- Five (5) years of experience in network architecture design and management for a large enterprise/global organization
- Five (5) years of experience in cloud-based network switching and security
- Three (3) years of experience leading projects and/or coordinating 3rd party vendors
- Solid experience in common scripting/automation languages, including Ansible, Terraform, or Python
- Experience with cloud services (AWS) – specific knowledge of setting up geographically redundant services in the cloud.
- Familiarity with access control models and network security, specifically Cisco, Palo Alto & AWS Security.
- Experience managing Infrastructure as code environments in AWS, including CloudFormation, VPC’s, the AWS CLI, Cisco CDO, and Palo Alto Panorama.
- Travel up to 5-10%
It would be useful if you have:
- Bachelor’s Degree, or Associate’s Degree plus 6 years of Technology related experience, or High School Degree/GED plus 12 years of Technology related experience
- Ten (10) years of professional work experience in Technology or related field
- Four (4) years of network engineering with BGP, OSPF, GigE, MPLS, VPN, SNMP, Cisco Nexus, iOS, and Juniper Junos
- Two (2) years of experience with hotel-based systems
- Advanced cloud certifications such as AWS Cloud Practitioner, Solutions Architect, or Professional
- Advanced networking certifications in Cisco, Palo Alto, or VMware
