DescriptionPrincipal ResponsibilitiesSpearhead quality related projects as determined by the Heim Management Team.Perform statistical analysis relative to quality performance and product failure modes.Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective action/preventive action plans for process and customer related concerns.Assist Quality Assurance Manager in establishing, implementing and maintaining the quality management system.Assist with continual improvement activities to enhance the quality system, such as 5S, Kaizen events, lean manufacturing methods, etc.Develop training to build quality awareness.Interface with Engineering and Operations to ensure production of new products or transfer of existing products are in accordance with approved data.Support the Quality Inspectors to ensure that products and processes comply with the relevant requirements of the quality management system.Conduct audits, including closing out audit findings, creating audits finding reports and determine proper corrective and preventive actions.Ensure timely resolution to supplier rejections by spearheading corrective action and preventive action plans with suppliers.Manage suppliers’ performance and conduct audits.Preparation of QA reports.QualificationsAn AS Degree plus 3 years of experience in a QA department in a manufacturing environment or on-the-job experience consisting of 5 years of experience in a similar environment. Must be able to travel appropriately 5% of the time.
