Junior Software Developer

SUMMARY:

The Junior Software Developer will be responsible for maintaining and updating production applications, reports, and other development tasks by working closely with the Development Staff, IT Personnel, and Business Stakeholders to determine and implement requirements.

This is a hybrid eligible position which will require the candidate to be able to work independently while keeping in close contact with other employees. This position requires in-office attendance 2-3 days per week (5 days preferred) at the headquarters location in Hyannis, MA.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Confidently work with employees at all levels of the company to determine their development needs as the first point of contact.
2. Manage the development ticket queue to ensure excellent service to our internal customers and our passengers.
3. Quickly adapt to rapidly changing business requirements.
4. Maintain and update code as needed in our test and production environments, based on end user requirements.
5. Work with the development staff to contribute new code to projects as requested.
6. Diagnose and debug development issues as they arise.
7. Work with internal and external entities to ensure that data is transmitted and received properly.

Qualifications:

1. Experience coding in .NET Core & .NET Framework (C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET, Web API) required as well as Entity Framework.
2. Competent with modern front-end frameworks, including responsive, front to back end development, and component-based development.
3. Relational database query writing and debugging.
4. Must be able to quickly learn and adapt to other programming languages, techniques, and technologies; including legacy programming languages.
5. Basic code repository skills (Azure DevOps, GitHub).
6. Knowledge of SQL, JavaScript, TypeScript, and Angular (or other JavaScript based frameworks).
7. Motivated to help internal customers solve complex requests.
8. Must be goal oriented, have an exceptional attention to detail, and must work well both independently and in team situations.
