LLM Research Engineer

Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct an immediate search for an experienced LLM Research Engineer for our client, a private equity firm in Redwood City, CA !
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dedicated team of research professionals seeking to develop an on-device personalized AI model that's capable of real-time learning based on user input!

What you will be doing:

• Leading a team in cutting edge research and authoring high impact papers on long-term memory
• Training an external memory model alongside a "parameter-frozen" LLMs
• Identifying original facts in LLM features for localized parameter updates
• Exploring new AI model structures beyond transformers to better utilize long-term memory and train personalized models

What you will need:

• PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or equivalent
• Bilingual in Mandarin
