Position: iOS Mobile Developer, Junior - FAA

Location: Remote/Cobec Site- Washington, D.C.

Salary Range: $60k - $80k

Job Summary

We are looking for iOS developers who will be responsible for the development and maintenance of mobile applications aimed at a range of iOS devices including mobile phones and tablets. This position will apply advanced mobile development techniques to solve complex decision problems. The candidate will use high performance computing, big data analytics, and data visualization tools and techniques to assist in making acquisition decisions and to maximize operational effectiveness and efficiency. The candidate will work in a team to develop application programming interfaces (APIs) to support mobile functionality while keeping up to date with terminology, concepts, and best practices for coding mobile apps, contributing to the design, testing, releasing, and support of the application. This position will support the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

Years of Relevant Experience

The position requires 0-5+ equivalent years of experience in mobile web development.

Essential Job Functions

1. Design and build applications for the iOS platform
2. Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
3. Collaborate with a team to define, design, and ship new features
4. Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs
5. Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation
6. Thrive in a dynamic work environment with constantly evolving responsibilities and work priorities
7. Be self-motivated and a proactive team player, contributing effectively through oral and written communication
8. Demonstrable portfolio of released applications on the App Store or Android market
9. Extensive knowledge of at least one programming language like Swift and Java
10. Familiarity with OOP design principles
11. Experience with third-party libraries and APIs
12. Superior analytical skills with a good problem-solving attitude
13. Ability to perform in a team environment
14. Strong oral and written communication skills
15. Ability to interpret and follow technical plans
16. Identify and plan for new features
17. Develop application programming interfaces (APIs) to support mobile functionality
18. Suggest and implement new mobile products, applications, and protocols
19. Remain up to date with terminology, concepts, and best practices for coding mobile apps
20. Work closely with colleagues to constantly innovate app functionality and design
21. Use and adapt existing web applications for apps
22. Write unit and UI tests to identify malfunctions
23. Develop new features and user interfaces from wireframe models
24. Ensure the best performance and user experience of the application
25. Fix bugs and performance problems
26. Write clean, readable, and testable code
27. Cooperate with back-end developers, designers, and the rest of the team to deliver well-architected and high-quality solutions

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree is a plus.

Required Skills

1. Experience with .NET CORE – TAP Connected
2. Experience with XAMARIN for iOS App – TAP APP
3. Familiar with Oracle DB for TAP connected & TAP App development
4. Experience with Selenium using C# - Web based automation testing
5. Experience with Appium - Mobile automation testing

Security Requirements

Must be a US citizen or a legal resident for three of the past five years. Must meet eligibility requirements for a US Public Trust security clearance.

Travel

Occasional travel required as needed by client/s and/or company.
