Security Engineer

Position: Security Engineer

Company: Alliant Credit Union

Location: Chicago, IL (100% telecommuting; 20% travel required; can live anywhere in the United States)

Requirements:

1. Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field or foreign equivalent degree.
2. 6 years of related experience.

Required Skills:

1. Apply network protocols, Firewalls (Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, Checkpoint), IDS/IPS, Proxy, VPN IPSEC tunnels, Automation tools like Tufin & Algosec (5 years).
2. Design, implement and manage security infrastructure including access management and authentication mechanisms (5 years).
3. Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and guidelines to maintain a secure environment (5 years).
4. Apply network security auditing practices, including Vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and log analysis to identify risks and recommend mitigation strategies (5 years).
5. Apply incident response procedures, including analysis, containment related to network infrastructure (5 years).
6. Use network monitoring tools including Wireshark to analyze network traffic, detect anomalies, and troubleshoot network issues (5 years).
