Sealing Technologies, a Parsons Company, provides Cyber Security services and cutting-edge technologies to the Federal Government. We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our Product Development team and help build the next generation of server system monitoring and human-machine interface. Specifically, we are looking for someone that can bring their backend development experience to create a framework utilized in our embedded server controller system.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in object-oriented programming as well as developing and deploying modular and/or plugin frameworks such as OSGi.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5+ years of professional java programming experience.
- 6+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and current systems.
- Use of Java in conjunction with OSGi as the basic modular framework.
- Experience in use of modern software development tools (Confluence, Jira, Jenkins).
- Experience with Git command line configuration management tool.
- Knowledge of Agile software development process methodology.
- Experience with Linux, Linux kernel, uboot, device drivers, UEFI / BIOS.
- Experience with JavaFX UI development.
- Java build tools such as Gradle, Bazel, Maven, etc.
- 7+ years of industry level experience.
- US Citizen.
Preferred Qualifications:
- BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or other related field; will consider relevant years of experience in lieu of degree.
- Knowledge of server hardware interfaces and Industry specifications such as SMBus/I2C, PCIe, ACPI, DDR, IPMI, 10G/1G Ethernet, SATA, SPI, I2C.
- Understanding of server manageability (BMC, IPMI) or server BIOS sub-system.
- Experience developing embedded software applications.
- Exposure to microcontroller development.
