ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Manage & assist with Artist’s LX needs on day-of-show, from Load In through Load Out.
  2. Be in direct contact with Tour’s Production Manager and/or Lighting Designer via cell phone, email and in person on day-of-show.
  3. Safeguard & maintain all venue LX assets in good working order.
  4. The ability to work successfully, both as part of a team and independently.
  5. A willingness to work across departments & assist with non-LX aspects of production, as necessary.
  6. Create a safe, clean, efficient & respectful work environment while exceeding Artist & Patron expectations.
  7. Assist in keeping the Neptune Theatre the premier 1,000 cap venue that it is!

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Ability to prioritize effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  2. Knowledge of venue power distribution, lighting control systems, lighting hardware, equipment and proficiency in LX focus & programming techniques.
  3. Experience reading LX Plots, Patch Lists, Stage Plots and associated paperwork.
  4. Thorough understanding and working knowledge of the GrandMA3 Console and popular LX fixtures.
  5. Ability to work within the confines of a production schedule and meet deadlines.
  6. A minimum of 2-years’ experience as an LD at comparable live music venue(s).

  1. Vision or corrected vision close to 20/20 is necessary to effectively perform all aspects of job requirements.
  2. Standing/Walking/Lifting/Sitting – about 20% of the time is spent seated at a desk or console.
  3. Ability & willingness to work 15+ hour days & lift in excess of 40-lbs at a time.
