General Summary
Our client, a leading engineering and design firm, is seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join their team. The Project Engineer will report to a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager and will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day project activities , ensuring quality control and project deliverables , conducting shop drawing reviews , and managing all phases of project design related to site design .
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities .
Essential Duties
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Manage all phases of the project from design to contract documentation , shop drawing checks , site visits , and project closeout .
• Possess practical management skills to plan, direct, and monitor all aspects of projects.
• Supervision received is primarily administrative, with assignments provided in general terms and objectives.
• Make civil engineering design decisions independently, elevating more complex decisions to the Project Manager or Senior Project Manager.
• Direct and coordinate the workload with other project team members .
• Coordinate with both internal and external team members .
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Abilities

• Excellent technical knowledge in civil engineering .
• Ability to coordinate, write, and/or edit specifications related to civil engineering.
• Strong leadership skills to meet deadlines and provide high-quality service to clients.
• Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills .
• Ability to interact professionally and with integrity.
• Strong planning, organizing, time management , and multi-tasking skills , with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to self-manage projects from start to finish, with oversight.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking ability.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Proficiency in current versions of AutoCAD , Photoshop , MS Word , and MS Excel .
• Thorough understanding and knowledge of building codes , zoning codes , and approval processes related to civil engineering.
• Comprehensive understanding of building systems and site requirements in structural, MEP, civil , and geo-technical engineering.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering .
• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Licensure in engineering is required.
