Responsibilities:
- Implements and maintains security measures across cloud environments.
- Ensures adherence to regulatory standards such as ISO27001 and CMMC Level 2.
- Works with cross-functional teams to promote a security-first culture.
- Regularly updates and patches systems to safeguard against vulnerabilities.
- Utilizes monitoring tools to oversee cloud infrastructure health and security.
- Diagnoses and resolves security incidents and operational issues.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- 7+ years in roles such as Security Engineer, Compliance Engineer, or DevOps Engineer.
- Proven experience in a startup environment with geographically dispersed teams.
- Proficient in Linux/Unix.
- Extensive experience with GCP; familiarity with AWS and Azure.
- CI/CD Knowledge of GitHub Actions, Bash, JavaScript, Python, and SQL.
- Knowledge with security tools such at Crowdstrike Falcon, LastPass, MFA and others is preferred, along with proven success using python, Javascript, SQL or Bash for programming / scripting.
- Containerization Skilled in Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong understanding of networking principles.
- Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, PagerDuty, Slack, GCP Logging, and GCP Monitoring.
This role is offering hybrid or remote work. They are more inclined to look at someone who is local in Houston and able to work on site.
