SYSTEMTEC is seeking a Mainframe Developer for a Hybrid On-Site (On-Site every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) opportunity in Columbia, SC. The manager is looking for an Application Developer that is willing to learn Mainframe (COBOL, APS, DB2, IMS).
Required Qualifications of the Mainframe Developer:

• Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to provide sponsorship or work with Third-Party agencies.
• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or other job related field is Highly Desired
• 4 years of application development, systems testing or other job-related experience
• Must have COBOL and DB2 experience
• Demonstrated ability to analyze systems and develop specifications based on business need
• Will also consider candidates who have knowledge/proficiency in JavaScript, Node.js, Jenkins, GIT, Vue, Python, VSCode, MongoDB, who would like to utilize these skills and learn mainframe technologies
• Experience in an enterprise environment is highly desired

Responsibilities of the Mainframe Developer:

• Perform all phases of applications systems analysis and design
• Analyze systems specifications and develop applications to support information systems processes
• Prepare detailed specifications from which complex programs will be written
• Design, code, test, debug, document and maintain these programs
• Formulates scope and objectives through research to develop or modify complex systems

Work Location: Hybrid. On-Site in Columbia, SC every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
