Scope:
Perform functions to plan and manage the maintenance of the organization's manufacturing equipment, working within the limits of established policies. This is a full-time Salary position. Normal hours of work are Monday through Friday, 6:30am to 4:00pm.
Essential Functions:
- The effective execution of all maintenance and assigned projects.
- Work order approval and planning.
- Conduct, trend, and perform root cause failure analysis, implement improvement plans for major failures and repeat breakdowns.
- Maintain problem solving A3’s to reduce downtime and scrap focused on machine reliability and continuous improvement.
- Maintain a safe work environment according to company safety policies.
- Monitoring and control of spare parts inventory within budget.
- Evaluate maintenance technician skill level and develop training plans to maintain skill levels according to current technology.
- Develop and direct all continuous improvement activities as related to maintenance and quality of work.
- Meet or reduce budgeted material and labor cost variances through preventative and predictive maintenance.
- Meet or exceed key performance indicators as defined by manufacturing goals.
- Perform all duties to operate all equipment, all within limitation of the standard methods and procedures and in accordance with strict adherence to safety, environmental, quality and productivity requirements.
- Acquire knowledge of Hydro’s safety, environmental and quality standards.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to maintain workflow or respond to emergency conditions.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Maintain work area in a clean and orderly condition in accordance with 5S standards.
Preferred Experience & Knowledge Requirements:
- 5+ years’ experience in Aluminum Extrusion Manufacturing Environment.
- SAP Experience.
- Ability to think critically and theoretically.
- Experience with Allen Bradley Controls troubleshooting.
Maintenance Supervisory Experience:
- Decision Making and Problem Solving.
- Written and Oral Communication Proficiency.
- Time Management and Organizational Skills.
