Role: Data Engineer

Annual Salary: $110K-$125K DOE and Education
As an Data Engineer, you will play a vital role in implementing innovative technologies and processes within our IT team. Reporting directly to the Senior Director of IT, you will collaborate across functions as part of our Analytics Center of Excellence (ACoE). This position is pivotal in our transformation journey, helping business teams leverage data to create impactful insights.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage our analytical cloud infrastructure.
- Ensure the efficiency and reliability of data pipelines and storage systems.
- Design, implement, and optimize data platforms to fulfill analytical needs.
- Create technical solutions for data collection and analysis across various reporting tools.
- Conduct data analysis to enhance our Information Management Systems.
- Communicate technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Assist in developing and executing ETL/ELT strategies.
- Participate in project planning within the ACoE framework.
- Compile complex data sets to meet specific business requirements.
- Address technical challenges related to data and support infrastructure needs.
- Collaborate with the ACoE to enhance data system functionalities.
- Aid in establishing reporting standards and executing data governance initiatives.
- Work closely with colleagues to gather data and reporting needs.
- Identify and suggest areas for improvement within data processes.
- Contribute to team efforts and additional tasks as needed.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience in fields such as Computer Science, IT, Economics, Statistics, or Engineering, or a comparable combination of education and experience.
- Experience in cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Familiarity with advanced database systems for business analysis.
- Skills in data cleansing, manipulation, and anomaly detection.
- Knowledge in building relational data models and managing ETL pipelines.
- Proficiency in data analysis, SQL, and multiple programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C#).
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with data science tools and custom visualizations in Power BI.
- Knowledge of business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, SAP Analytics Cloud).
- Familiarity with automation tools and machine learning frameworks.
