Job Description:

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

1. Designs, develops, and implements testing methods and equipment.
2. Plans and arranges the labor, schedules, and equipment required for testing and evaluating standard and special devices.
3. Provides test area with parameters for sample testing and specifies tests to be performed.
4. Compiles data and defines changes required in testing equipment, testing procedures, manufacturing processes, or new testing requirements.
5. Responsible for testing all customer samples and for special tests that cannot be performed in the test area.

Your Daily Tasks Will Include:

1. Verify high quality embedded software for Class 3 Medical Devices.
2. Implement Software Development Life Cycle activities and prepare deliverables for regulatory submission: Planning, Requirements definition, Architecture and Detailed Design and Coding, Testing (unit and integration), Release and Maintenance.
3. Estimate and plan development and verification efforts in compliance with Federal and International regulations (62304, 60601-1) as well as internal Quality System Regulations.
4. Develop test designs, test tools, automated test protocols and author reports.
5. Troubleshoot, debug, and analyze product and system wide issues, maintaining and supporting existing embedded software systems.
6. Utilize Software engineering techniques to maximize test coverage in both manual and automation testing.
7. Coach and mentor firmware verification team members across the globe.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

1. Bachelors degree in a technical discipline.
2. Minimum of 4 years relevant automated software / firmware verification experience (7 years total experience required, 5 years with an advanced degree).

Nice to Have:

1. Programming Proficiency: Expert in python language programming for developing automated test protocols to verify embedded systems.
2. Comfortable reading C and Java code with ability to contribute to code reviews, etc.
3. Test System & Tool Design: Experience in developing automated test tools to be used in verification, especially exposure to the following concepts/techniques:

5. Bluetooth
6. Radio telemetry
7. Regulatory compliance: Experience developing and executing testing across the Software Development Lifecycle compliant to Federal and International regulations including:

11. Agile & DevOps: Experience planning and executing under Agile-Scrum development methodology as well as implementing and using DevOps/continuous integration development environments.
