Job Summary:

• Responsible for advanced level development, testing, implementation and maintenance of all facets of web-based application systems for a campus unit.
• May serve as project lead on applications impacting multiple units and provide work direction to Web Developers.
• This position will interact on a consistent basis with: management and staff within assigned units and personnel in Office of Information Technology.
• This position will typically advice and counsel:
• management and staff within assigned units and staff Office of Information Technology.

Job Duties:

• Conduct web-based applications development and implementation consistent with unit needs.
• Maintain assigned applications, providing issue resolution in a timely manner.
• Maintain all required documentation related to unit web applications.
• Provide direction and leadership for web-related project assignments.
• Prepare project schedules and budgets.

Skills:

• This job requires advanced knowledge and skills in configuration and deployment of web applications including database design, web-based scripting languages and web standards.
• Additionally, skills in project management, work leadership, presentation, customer service and problem solving are required.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Six to eight years of job-related experience.
• The ability to problem-solve and critically think.
• High level of knowledge of Python and the Django framework.
• Good understanding of SQL databases.
• Good understanding of REST APIs.
