Design Application Engineer - HVAC

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Generate engineering quotes for special customer requests.
• Create special designs or modify standard designs to satisfy specific customer requests.
• Deliver special product support to manufacturing, customer service, and purchasing to ensure delivery schedule and product quality is maintained.
• Provide customer support including phone support and plant visits.
• Visit customer sites as required to troubleshoot field application and installation issues.
• Ensure all Engineering Change Authorizations are approved and changes to prints/drawings are included with manufacturing BOM plans
• Ensure any required changes to test plans, quality plans, and risk assessments are completed per production schedule.
• Provide engineering input in areas such as Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) related to strength and structural integrity
• Develop electrical circuit wiring diagrams, and schematics as required.
• Support agency work such as AHRI, ETL, UL and/or CE

Requirements:

• BS Mechanical Engineering
• 3+ years of Experience designing HVAC Product lines or Metal Fabricated Assemblies
• Understanding of electrical and control designs
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong Project Management skills
• Knowledge of a variety of Metal Fabrication processes
