We are a mission partner supporting DoD, Intelligence, and Civil space customers. We develop complex radiation effects mitigated designs that balance competing requirements in modern space programs, delivering cutting-edge solutions that enable our customers to achieve more in space.

Essential Functions:

  • Subject matter expert for integration and testing of multi-function space systems.
  • Lead integration and test activities for qualification and acceptance testing of space electronics units.
  • Assesses product design and viability from a verification and validation perspective.
  • Provide guidance to design team to influence designs for verification and validation.
  • Design verification and validation plans and test procedures tailored to the specific requirements of space electronic systems, encompassing both functional and environmental testing parameters.
  • Advise on test methodologies to apply to verification and validation of project designs.
  • Design special test equipment and test cables to support a thorough verification by test of product requirements.
  • Define repeatable verification and validations practices and methods to be applied to multiple projects.
  • Conduct thorough functional testing of electronic hardware and systems to verify compliance with design specifications. Analyze test data and results, identifying anomalies, deviations, and areas for improvement.
  • Supports process improvement for requirements management and verification.
  • Define repeatable practices for requirements verification.
  • Supports project execution.
  • Collaborating in a multi-disciplined team environment to solve complex problems in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effectively train and mentor junior test engineers and test technicians.
  • Design and implement automation testing to support high-scale production in manufacturing facility.

Qualifications:

Education/Certification: BS degree in mechanical, electrical, computer, or aerospace engineering or other relevant technical discipline.

Years of Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in a systems' engineering and/or electronics testing discipline.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Understanding of space industry integration and test processes with execution experience.
  • Strong knowledge of hardware/software/mechanical interaction, implementation of customer hardware and software, and impact to requirements/performance.
  • Experience with the integration & testing of complex electronic systems.
  • Expert on environmental testing to space industry standards, including random vibration, thermal cycling, thermal vacuum, EMI/EMC, ESD and shock testing.
  • Proficiency in utilizing test equipment and instrumentation for conducting functional testing, performance testing, environmental simulations, such as thermal chambers, vibration tables, and EMC test setups.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate technical concepts effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Strong team player and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.

Physical Requirements:

  1. Communication: Frequent communication with other employees. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

  3. Average Visual Abilities: Average, ordinary, visual acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents or products.
  4. Physical Strength: Sedentary work; must be able to remain in a stationary position most of the time. Exerts up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally. (Almost all office jobs.)

Working Conditions:

  1. Typically work is performed in an office, laboratory, cleanroom, or sometimes remote environment.
  2. May occasionally work in manufacturing production facility.

The successful candidate must be capable of receiving a US Government security clearance. US Citizenship Required.
