Job Description
We are currently looking for a Senior Hydraulic Engineer to work in our Columbia, SC or Atlanta, GA office. The ideal candidate should possess a desire to work for a fast-paced, growing, “never a dull moment” business and meet the qualifications listed below.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
- Professional Engineer license required
- Minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience in a related field
- HEC-RAS experience and knowledge of Microstation is required
- Proficient in DOT requirements and procedures, specifically drainage and hydraulic components
- General working knowledge of plan production and fundamental engineering principles including surveying, geometric design, hydraulics, hydrology, stormwater management, grading, etc.
Responsibilities
- Work on projects that focus on bridge and culvert hydraulic analyses using HEC-RAS modeling software, utilizing 1D and 2D modules.
- Typical projects will include bridge/culvert hydraulic studies, FEMA Floodplain analysis, and associated technical reports, and plan production.
- Visit job sites for inspection and evaluation of hydraulic components.
- Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
