Job Description

We are currently looking for a Senior Hydraulic Engineer to work in our Columbia, SC or Atlanta, GA office. The ideal candidate should possess a desire to work for a fast-paced, growing, “never a dull moment” business and meet the qualifications listed below.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
  • Professional Engineer license required
  • Minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience in a related field
  • HEC-RAS experience and knowledge of Microstation is required
  • Proficient in DOT requirements and procedures, specifically drainage and hydraulic components
  • General working knowledge of plan production and fundamental engineering principles including surveying, geometric design, hydraulics, hydrology, stormwater management, grading, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Work on projects that focus on bridge and culvert hydraulic analyses using HEC-RAS modeling software, utilizing 1D and 2D modules.
  • Typical projects will include bridge/culvert hydraulic studies, FEMA Floodplain analysis, and associated technical reports, and plan production.
  • Visit job sites for inspection and evaluation of hydraulic components.
  • Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Pay: $130,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
