About the job

HAI Robotics is seeking a top robotics engineer skilled in warehouse automation who understands the agile mindset, various systems (AGV, ACR, AMR), and DevOps philosophies. We're looking for a technical expert for one of the most promising robotic companies in the world. If you possess that rare mix of depth in Hands-on Implementation, Solution Design, Testing, and Systems Engineering, then we are waiting for your application.

HAI Robotics has a fast-paced environment where we “Work Hard, Have Fun, Make History.” On a “typical” day, engineers might deep dive into designing and implementing warehouse automation solutions, testing, and project management. You will also spend time investigating the root cause of a customer issue, consult with the top engineers at HAI Robotics, or discuss radical new approaches to solve customer challenges.

You'll be part of a world-class team in a fast-paced environment that has the entrepreneurial feel of a start-up. This is an opportunity to operate and implement systems domestically within the US or globally, and gain top-notch experience in robotic computing. You'll be surrounded by people who are wickedly smart, passionate about robotic computing, and believe that world-class service is critical to customer success. You'll become a master at robotic platform diagnosis, response, measurement, and automation. You will design and build the operational scalability that sustains the platform's insane growth.

Responsibilities

  • You will work independently with little guidance or in a team as a mentor to other engineers.
  • Configure firmware for hardware equipment such as robots, conveyors, servers, scanners, etc.

  • Support Demo-Center operations for Hardware, Software, and IT.
  • Testing full-integrated HAIQ-Warehouse Management System with customers or vendor sub-systems.
  • Implement complex and large-scale warehouse automation projects including installation of AGV, ACR, AMR, conveyor system and associated equipment, development of testing and acceptance criteria, and project management.
  • Conduct site inspection & evaluation, and manage grid line marking, and floor DM code sticking.
  • Perform automation system integration tests.
  • Be the technical expert in resolving technical issues around automation equipment.
  • Assist in software testing during project implementation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Industrial/Robotics/Electrical Engineering OR equivalent experience that encompasses the knowledge gained through a degree.
  • 1-2+ years of experience in AGV, ACR, or AMR solution implementation.
  • Knowledge of WMS integration and PLC.
  • Analytical mind and strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.
  • 1-2+ years of field experience in warehouse automation, material handling equipment, and warehouse operations.
  • Familiarity with Linux/UNIX, SQL, and the ability to write scripts to automate tasks.
  • Basic knowledge of VPNs, firewalls, and routers.
  • Outstanding communication skills.
  • Speaking Chinese is an advantage but not mandatory.
