Software Development Engineer Android (Level 5), Enterprise Engineering

About the Team

Enterprise Engineering builds services ranging from network access to customer-facing software to meet the needs of our number one customer: Amazon. All Amazonians and variable staff rely on our products at all Amazon Corporate, Customer Service, Fulfillment, Retail, and affiliate sites across the globe.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  1. 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  2. 3+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  3. Experience programming with at least one software programming language
  4. 3+ years of experience in design and development of Android Applications using Kotlin and Java.
  5. Proficiency in Computer Science fundamentals such as Object-Oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis
  6. Experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
  2. Experience developing enterprise mobile applications
  3. Experience optimising mobile apps for performance
  4. Knowledge of professional software engineering practices and best practices for full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing and operations
  5. Ability to take a project from scoping requirements through actual launch of the project
  6. Able to provide information to technical and non-technical stakeholders alike and guide them to confidently make informed decisions
