Job Requirements / Description

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of experience in technical project management, stakeholder management, professional services, solution engineering, or technical consulting.
  • 3 years of experience in any of the following: Connectivity (e.g., Cell, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth), Power Management or System Performance.
  • 3 years of experience in Android OS embedded software development or Android App development.
  • 1 year of experience in technical troubleshooting and writing code in one or more programming languages.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with system architecture or device of Linux-based platforms.
  • Experience with large systems software design and development
  • Experience managing multiple products and streams of work.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and project management skills.

About the job

The Android Partner Engineering team works closely with a global and diverse set of partners who use Android to build devices and services. The team works to align the strategic goals of Google and its partners to make Android the platform of choice across multiple consumer and enterprise domains.

As an Android Auto Partner Technical Solutions Consultant, you'll manage technical projects with Automotive industry partners integrating Android Auto into next generation devices. You'll bring technical expertise in creating devices with Android Auto, insight into software for in-car experiences, and a passion for building collaborative partnerships. You'll be a trusted advisor to Google’s Product and Engineering teams and Automotive industry partners (e.g., car manufacturers, supplier ecosystem, SoC providers). By building close collaborations with partner organizations, you'll guide planning, implementation and certification of Android Auto devices. You'll also support and lead internal initiatives to transform team operations and improve our products and technologies.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $118,000-$174,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Manage technical projects with automotive industry partners, guiding Android Auto solution planning and implementation.
  • Provide technical expertise regarding Android Auto integration in emerging system architectures.
  • Maintain and enhance Android Auto compatibility and platform updatability.
  • Advocate for and translate industry needs to Google Engineering and Product teams in order to shape future platform development.
  • Develop tools and processes to streamline partner engagements and guarantee high-product quality.
