Website Developer

Purpose of Position

ICF is seeking a Website Developer to work on a national technical assistance project. The purpose of this project is to provide legal services for Unaccompanied Children post-release from Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) care and custody and to expand the legal community’s skills and capacity to provide immigration legal support. The Website Developer will program content for the website for use in the recruitment and training/support of legal service providers, general information about the project, and other project goals as determined. The successful candidate will be a highly experienced root and back end programmer for the project, able to program in PHP, CSS, HTML, or other languages compatible with a WordPress hosting platform. In addition, the successful candidate will have significant experience with WordPress plugins and architecture.

The Website Developer will report to the Communication and Outreach Lead and serve as a part of the Communication and Outreach Team.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop website structure and templates for ease of uploading content.
  2. Manage content updates continuously throughout the project.
  3. Work directly with the hosting platform team and designer.
  4. Assure continuous operation of the website and fix broken links.
  5. Participate in the development of the website within a team environment including subject matter experts, technical experts, and project managers.
  6. Manage content in a WordPress platform for a website.
  7. Work with UX experts in the layout and design of the website.
  8. Meet all deadlines in uploading web content and for website launch.
  9. Coordinate all aspects of website launch.
  10. Assure approval of content and quality assurance before programming for live launch or any updated content.
  11. Assure 508 compliance for launch and ongoing content administration.

Basic Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related field. Bachelor’s degree can be replaced by 5 years of direct website development experience.
  2. Minimum of 5 years’ experience administering website content.
  3. Minimum of 3 years’ experience programming in a variety of computer languages such as PHP, CSS, HTML.

Preferred Skills:

  1. Master’s Degree in Information Technology or related field.
  2. Minimum 3 years’ experience building and maintaining WordPress sites.
  3. Minimum of 7 years’ experience managing website layout and project managing website development.

Pay Range: The pay range for this position is: $90,940.00 - $154,598.00 Nationwide Remote Office (US99).
