You are a seasoned leader with a robust background in driving the execution of end-to-end application development, encompassing user interfaces, cloud services, and backend data management services and storage. Your ability to translate design and architectural strategies to diverse teams sets you apart. Your strong communication skills allow you to excel in managing challenging conversations with technical experts, demonstrating your solid interpersonal skills to drive alignment and convergence towards organizational objectives. As a mentor and guide, you inspire and lead your team of software engineers with empathy, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment. What You Will Do

In this role, you will use your skills and experience to influence the creation of the next-generation SaaS-based management plane for Cisco’s Hypershield solution. You will drive backend feature development from requirement analysis and scoping to design execution and deployment in a CI-CD cloud service pipeline. You will define the technical roadmap in collaboration with other engineering leaders, the chief architect, and product management teams to meet market and customer requirements.

Your key responsibilities include:

• Ownership of the day-to-day activities of your team, as they design, develop, and test features in feature-driven sprints.
• Ensure cross-functional alignment with the key stakeholders on architecture, schedules, and deliverables.
• Deliver continuous feedback and performance review of engineers, with input from vertical leads and senior leadership.
• Track progress on projects, helping engineers grow their project management skills.

Minimum Experience Required for This Role:

• BA/BS Degree and 7+ years of experience with software development.
• 3+ years of experience in team management.
• 3+ years in cloud computing and network security.
• Previous experience delivering SaaS applications deployed in public cloud: UI workflows and supporting backend features.

Desired Experience:

• Prior experience with managing engineering team resources and activities, ensuring deliverables are met within scope and timelines, while promoting a culture of innovation, performance, and execution.
• Ability to lead and mentor engineers globally, champion creative technical trends, drive decisions collaboratively, resolve conflicts, and ensure diligent follow-through.
• Experience collaborating with senior engineers, product management, senior management, and other multi-functional partners to define technical roadmaps and set strategies.
