Lead Java Developer (Hybrid - Atlanta, GA) - W2 Only

One of our clients is looking for a Lead Java Developer to support their team.

Title: Lead Java Developer

Duration: Long Term Contract

Location: Atlanta, GA (Hybrid) / Remote

Responsibilities:

• Serve as a mentor and technical leader for a development team through the design, development, and implementation of software solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve technical issues while advocating for best practices in software development.
• Communicate the status of project initiatives and bug-fixes/improvements to management.
• Mentor junior developers, conduct code reviews, and ensure the application of agile methodologies and continuous integration/delivery practices.
• Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies within the Java ecosystem and financial services industry to incorporate into the technology roadmap.
• Take ownership of end-to-end system architecture and lead projects to successful delivery with a hands-on approach to coding and debugging when necessary.
• Ensure the creation of comprehensive documentation for software solutions, contributing to the knowledge base of the organization.

Requirements:

• Senior developer with extensive experience designing, coding, and deploying high traffic and highly resilient enterprise-level applications using web API, queues, and databases.
• Experience developing an enterprise application in a high availability clustered environment; developing against a Full EE container (Jboss, Weblogic, GlassFish, or WebSphere).
• Experience in developing web applications using at least one popular web framework (JSF, Wicket, GWT, Spring MVC).
• Experience developing with SOAP and REST web services; developing on-demand efficient batch jobs (executable Jars, PL/SQL, or shell scripts).
• Utilizing Java EE, including Container-Managed Resources, Data sources, SOAP/RESTful Web Services, EJBs, MDBs, and JMS.
• Experience working with Flux workflow engine and its corresponding Flux console.
• Experience with AGILE development.
