Sr. Process Engineer, Cybertruck, Body in White

Tesla is seeking a motivated Senior Process Engineer to join our Body in White shop. This role will focus on developing, optimizing, and sustaining robust processes while supporting business practices and Visual Management. As a key player, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and provide actionable insights to enhance Tesla's production capabilities.
Responsibilities

• Lead process development, improvement, and troubleshooting for Body in White operations
• Analyze business processes and key data (KPIs, labor, Opex) to support leadership decision-making
• Drive Lean Manufacturing initiatives, including Kaizen and 5S, to optimize production
• Own cost-saving projects, delivering measurable results quarterly
• Develop and standardize data analysis methodologies, reporting tools, and dashboards
• Collaborate on new product introduction (NPI), quality improvements, and production enhancements
• Plan and execute machine trials, engineering changes, and process validation efforts

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
• 8+ years of experience in the automotive industry; Body in White experience preferred
• Strong understanding of Six Sigma, PFMEA, SPC, and problem-solving methodologies
• Proficiency in CATIA V5/V6, AutoCAD; experience in 3D printing and mechanical design is a plus
• Proven track record of managing cross-functional teams and delivering cost-effective solutions
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present to senior leadership
• Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to fast-paced changes
