POSITION SUMMARY:
As a Manufacturing Engineer you'll be at the forefront of aerospace and additive manufacturing technologies. In this role you will be tasked with owning and improving the manufacturing processes and reporting for a growing advanced manufacturing site. As part of our ongoing commitment to excellence, you will be challenged to ensure our processes meet our AS9100 certification. This role will also be responsible for daily production scheduling assistance to meet our monthly goals. It's expected that you'll work with the engineering and sales teams to assess manufacturing requirements of incoming opportunities and provide timely feedback on cost and feasibility of inspection/inspection limits. At ADDMAN Engineering you'll be part of a rapidly growing world class engineering team, commonly interfacing internally with program managers, materials and process engineers, technicians, machinists, and company leadership.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Maintain and improve the safe working environment on the shop floor and its surrounding areas.

  • Convert customer supplied engineering and documentation into manufacturing routings and visual aids.
  • Collaborate with commercial team to assess manufacturing requirements for incoming opportunities, and support estimating of internal and external manufacturing costs.
  • Support internal and external audits of the site's manufacturing and engineering processes.
  • Commitment to completing all job deliverables according to the manufacturing schedule.
  • Collaborate with NC programming, quality, and production to review product for conformance to customer, supplier, or internal requirements at multiple stages in the manufacturing process.
  • Participates in team problem solving, process improvement, and technical decision making.
  • Make internal efforts to enhance our manufacturing workflows.
  • Willingness to mentor, teach, and be an engineering technical resource for the organization.
  • Regular and punctual attendance and follow all Company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
ITAR REQUIREMENTS:
This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status.
SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Works independently with a strong work ethic and is self-motivated to complete tasks with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work on cross-functional teams to support the core business, ensuring quality products are delivered on time
  • Strong organization, attention to detail, and sense of urgency
  • Computer aptitude (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel)
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 2+ years of working in a manufacturing environment in an engineering, quality, or technical role, is preferred
  • Previous aerospace manufacturing or quality industry experience.
  • Experience with manufacturing/CNC machining processes.
  • CAD/CAM experience in SolidWorks, Unigraphics NX, Catia or a similar software.
  • Eligible to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • This job operates in a professional additive manufacturing, traditional manufacturing and office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as printing equipment, computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, etc.
