JOB TITLE: BMS Integration Engineer

REPORTS TO: Director, BMS, Quality & Commissioning

SUMMARY :

The BMS Integration Engineer will have a focus on data center BMS technologies to join our Platform Delivery Design Team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in building management systems (BMS), cloud technologies (such as MS Azure and AWS), and various technology protocols including BACnet, Modbus, MQTT, and REST API. This role requires a deep understanding of data center environments and the ability to translate customer requirements into robust BMS integrations. As a key member of the team, this role will participate in design reviews, develop standard BMS policies and procedures, and ensure quality assurance across all BMS integration projects. Reporting to the Director of BMS, Quality, and Commissioning, this individual will collaborate closely with peers from various engineering disciplines.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the coordination of customer requirements for BMS data integration within our data center facilities.
  • Develop comprehensive scopes of work based on customer needs, ensuring alignment with data center operations and objectives.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on BMS integration solutions, collaborating with internal teams including Design, Sales, IT, and Operations.
  • Participate in design reviews to ensure BMS integrations meet project requirements and adhere to industry best practices.
  • Generate standard BMS policies, procedures, and quality assurance measures to ensure consistency and reliability across all projects.
  • Manage the contracting process for scoped work, including vendor selection, negotiation, and contract management.
  • Oversee the implementation of BMS integrations, ensuring adherence to project timelines, quality standards, and budget constraints.
  • Maintain regular communication with all stakeholders to provide project updates, address concerns, and solicit feedback.
  • Document and maintain BMS integrations within our data center environments, including system configurations, data mappings, and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Manage the data lake program, overseeing the cloud-based repository of BMS metrics and internal/external integrations.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies related to data center operations, building automation, and cloud integration.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in BMS integration, data center technologies, and cloud technologies.
  • Extensive knowledge of technology protocols including BACnet, Modbus, MQTT, and REST API.
  • Proficiency in cloud platforms such as MS Azure and AWS, including experience with cloud-based data repositories and integration tools.
  • Strong understanding of data center infrastructure and operational requirements.
  • Proven track record of managing complex projects and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.
