Project Engineer (HRUS)
Job Description
Primary responsibilities are to support the Engineering and Technical Group with engineering and design of subsea intervention tooling solutions for Helix Robotics Solutions (HRS) ROV remote work systems, which includes advanced work-class ROV's, subsea trenching systems, and seabed geotechnical equipment. HRS also designs and manufactures purpose built subsea infrastructure components and control systems, along with topside structures and systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong hydraulic / mechanical / machine design engineering and project management skills, and capable of working in a fast-paced team environment. Mechanical, hydraulic, and structural skills are primary disciplines, with moderate electrical / electronic skills as a preferred secondary.
Primary Duties / Responsibilities:
Engineering and design of tooling/intervention electro-mechanical and hydraulic packages.
Full project responsibility for technical, schedule and fiscal performance.
Provide technical input to Commercial department for proposals, and to Operations department as required.
Provide innovative, cost-effective technical solutions to client requirements.
Provide direction and support to shop and field technical crews.
Qualifications
Education / Training: BSME/BSEE or equivalent.
Experience: preferred 3 to 5 years of experience relevant to job description.

Skills:
- 2D/3D design modeling AutoCAD, Solidworks, Solidworks Simulation (FEA).
- Computer Skills: Microsoft Excel, Word, Project.
- Project Management Skills including scheduling and budget responsibilities.
- Knowledge of or familiarity with applicable standards including API, ISO, DNV, ASME, USCG, AWS, IEEE.
- Machine design and hydraulic equipment experience preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and writing skills.
- Primarily office based, with some vessels in port and shop environment work.
- Some travel required.
- This position is expected to report in office, with the option of one remote day.
